We're looking for a Polyglot Software Engineer who thrives in dynamic, high-impact environments and has a knack for diving into complex challenges across diverse technologies. You'll work directly under our Head of Engineering to build game-changing solutions for our customers.
What You’ll Do
- Build Core Features: Contribute to the design and development of our disruptive database virtualization platform, ensuring data integrity, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Solve Complex Problems: Tackle intricate engineering challenges such as low-latency programming, real-time data migrations, and system interoperability.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the Head of Engineering, CTO, customers, and other team members to align technical implementations with business objectives.
- Learn and Adapt: Dive into new programming languages, frameworks, and tools as needed to solve problems and deliver value.
- Drive Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code while participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Innovate: Bring creative, out-of-the-box ideas to help shape the future of our product and technology stack.
Who You Are
- Polyglot Engineer: Proficiency in at least three programming languages, such as C++, TypeScript, Python, Java, or Rust. Comfortable navigating full-stack development.
- System Thinker: Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
- Database Proficiency: Experience working with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle). Bonus if you’ve worked with database internals or migrations.
- Problem Solver: Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges independently or as part of a team.
- Collaborative Mindset: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small, fast-paced team.
- Curiosity and Drive: Passion for learning new technologies and pushing boundaries.
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Exposure to containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Familiarity with distributed systems, compilers, or low-latency applications.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, with experience in GitHub Actions or similar tools.
