The Health & Services Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Program Financial Analyst to support our Environment team within the Government Services & Solutions Business Area. This position is 100% remote. The position will work directly with Program Management and Project Managers as well as the Finance and Business Operations Team.

The successful candidate will manage budget and cost on multiple projects with discrete funding sources from multiple agencies across multiple CLINs. They will work one on one with each Project Manager to develop, refine, and report on actuals, estimates to complete, and estimates at complete. They will also report progress to the Finance and Business Operations Manager, which will in turn utilize that information to satisfy both external and internal planning and reporting needs.

Primary responsibilities

  • Manage complex PFA Tasks

  • Perform funding/spend plan data reconciliation and consolidation with customer POC’s

  • Establish and maintain financial plans, track, and report actuals, EAC’s, and variances

  • Monitor schedules and performance on a high volume of projects

  • BOM maintenance and procurement tracking and forecasting

  • Provide project data for MOR, QFSR, IPR, MSR and other Leidos and customer deliverables

  • Provide oversight for Subk funding, PR/PO creation and SLICS/SLATE set up

  • Responsible for overseeing timely project invoice and cash collection

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree with 2-4 years of applicable experience

  • Firm understanding of Estimates at Complete

  • Proficient in MS Office Skills, in particular MS Excel

  • Experience with PowerBI (dashboards, inputs, reporting)

  • Strong organization, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Experience in program finance

  • Desire and ability to train Project Managers and Cost Account Managers that lack financial acumen

  • Must be able to “own” the process

  • Ability to handle high volume of data (~ one hundred CRNs) in a fast paced, cyclical, and demanding work environment

  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude

  • Ability to analyze problems for root cause and implement corrective action

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Prior finance experience in government contracting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Leidos financial systems and applications such as: OBI, Cognos, PowerBI, Fusion, CostPoint

  • FAR, GAAP and SOX knowledge

Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00

Leidos' story begins in 1969 when Dr. J. Robert Beyster, a visionary scientist, founded Science Applications Incorporated (SAI) in La Jolla, San Diego, California. Leidos, as the legal successor to the original SAIC, inherited its pre-2013 stock price and corporate filing history and established its new headquarters in Reston, Virginia. This strategic move allowed Leidos to sharpen its focus on national security, health, and engineering solutions. Another major milestone occurred in August 2016 when Leidos merged with Lockheed Martin's Information Systems & Global Solutions (IS&GS) business, a landmark transaction that created the defense industry's largest IT services provider and significantly expanded Leidos' capabilities and market share. Today, Leidos stands as a Fortune 500® global science and technology leader, employing approximately 47,000 people worldwide and generating billions in annual revenue, committed to making the world safer, healthier, and more efficient through innovation and technology.
