The Leidos Civil NISC IV team is looking for a Mid-Level Test Engineer to support a tech refresh of a critical application for the FAA, as a manual and automation (a plus) tester supporting the Civil Aviation Registry Electronic Services (CARES) initiative. We are looking for a collaborative and forward leaning individual who wants to tackle challenges and be a part of creating innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate for this role will use their previous experience in analyzing system requirements and capability acceptance criteria. This candidate must be a self-starter, responsible, and be able to adjust to different assignments to support test events. The candidate will also be expected to dove-tail work with the fellow team members. The ideal candidate needs to be comfortable with virtual demonstrations to the government stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Experience providing expertise in quality assurance methods, tools, and technology
  • Experience in System Integration Testing
  • Experience in data driven testing and validation using tools such as SQL
  • Knowledge of programming languages and process management methodology.
  • Designing large scale test strategy and test plans.
  • Experience working with legacy technologies and creating test plans that include automated testing efforts.
  • Experience integrating automated testing reporting into software development life cycle tools such as JIRA and Zephyr
  • Experience in helping define business acceptance criteria
  • Experience monitoring all QA activities, test results, leaked defects
  • Working closely with tech lead and Bas
  • Comfortable gathering and presenting testing metrics to key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of different automation testing tools is a plus.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS Degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Functional GUI and limited back-end testing background as well as interface testing.
  • Understanding of testing methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Customer oriented to support IV&V activities.
  • Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience or equivalent.
  • Self-starter; demonstrated ability to work alone and with team members remotely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience creating Test Scripts
  • Experience reviewing User stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Experience with Selenium
  • Experience working with a Jenkins pipeline

Pay Range:

Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00
