The Vice President of Strategic Account Management is responsible for leading the Strategic Account Management team and setting the vision, direction, and standards for how Leap engages with key clients and partners. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this senior leader will oversee the day-to-day strategic management of Leap’s client portfolio, while leading retention and revenue growth in partnership with Vertical Leads and cross-functional managers.
This role will oversee the structure and performance of the Strategic Account Management department, including forecasting, team goal setting, account planning, and client reporting. The VP will also be responsible for the enterprise-wide renewals process, providing strategic oversight and direction for renewal activity driven by a dedicated Renewals Specialist.

AS A VP, STRATEGIC ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT YOU WILL:
Lead, mentor, and scale the Strategic Account Management team, including Directors and Strategic Account Managers.
Define and drive the vision, structure, and direction of the Strategic Account Management department.
Establish and track departmental OKRs and KPIs for revenue growth, client retention, account health, and satisfaction.
Own the enterprise-wide renewals process, providing strategic oversight for all renewal activity managed by the Renewals Specialist.
Ensure consistent, timely, and effective execution of renewal strategies across all strategic accounts.
Serve as an executive sponsor for key client accounts and support high-level contract negotiations and escalations.
Develop and implement account planning standards and best practices across the team.
Oversee Leap’s QBR (Quarterly Business Review) program, including structure, cadence, and content across all verticals.
Partner with Vertical Leads to align account strategies with business goals and vertical-specific objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Client Support, Implementation, and Finance to support client success and internal coordination.
Monitor client health metrics and establish proactive strategies to mitigate risk and maximize account value.
Ensure the Strategic Account Management team has the tools, training, and resources needed to perform at a high level.
Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for greater operational efficiency within the department.
Represent Leap at industry conferences, onsite client visits, and live events—building relationships, reinforcing client partnerships, and staying immersed in the live event experience.
Represent Strategic Account Management in executive planning, forecast reviews, and strategic initiatives.

OFFICE INFORMATION:
Leap Event Technology is a 100% remote-friendly company. However, we do offer the option of working in the office for employees located in Montréal (CAN), Dallas (U.S.), Sydney (AUS). All of our offices are stocked with snacks and drinks and we provide a free lunch every week. We offer a monthly travel stipend, and even host the occasional themed party and happy hour!
If you don’t live near an office but happen to be visiting nearby, you can work from the office for as long as you need.

Leap Event Technology requires all Event Operations employees and contractors who will be representing the company at a client event to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to attending. Requirements
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
10+ years of experience in the live events and/or SaaS industry, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing account management or client success
Proven track record in driving client retention, managing enterprise renewals, and growing account revenue
Experience managing high-performing teams and partnering with cross-functional leadership
Strategic thinker with expertise in forecasting, goal setting, and client engagement.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presence
Willingness to travel
