A Senior Salesforce Software Engineer at Labcorp involves designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions, with responsibilities including application development, testing, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Design and Development: Design, develop, and implement customized Salesforce solutions to meet client needs.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in Salesforce technologies like Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Triggers, Flows, Automations, Customized Journeys, AMP script , data streams, DLOs and DMOs.
  • Problem Solving: Analyze issues at the system level and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with customers, product owners, scrum masters, and core development teams.
  • Testing and Quality: Automate and execute all levels of testing (unit, integration, and regression).
  • Documentation: Document and lead the implementation of technical features, improvements, and innovations.
  • Full-Stack Mentality: Embrace a full-stack development mentality, including DevOps, front-end, and back-end development.
  • Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce applications.
  • Leadership: May involve providing technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members.
  • Architecture: Participate in architecture discussions and planning.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams for delivery.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Architect, design, implement, test and deliver highly scalable solutions
  • Master our development and data processes, culture and code base, then improve it
  • Operate optimally in the hybrid engineering model where engineers are encouraged to be able to craft and complete the vital work to ensure quality in their own code as well as other engineers
  • Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
  • Present your designs to internal/external groups and review designs of others
  • Develop test strategies, design automation frameworks, write unit/functional tests to drive up code coverage and automation metrics
  • Participate in the team’s daily stand ups
  • Automate and execute all levels of testing (unit, integration, and regression).
  • Document and lead the implementation of technical features, improvements, and innovations.
  • Embrace a full-stack development mentality, including DevOps, front-end, and back-end development.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to address sophisticated problems in real-time and keep services operational and highly available

Required Skills:

  • A related technical degree required
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce technologies: Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Triggers, Flows, Automations, Customized interactive Journeys, AMP script, Datastreams, DLOs and DMOs
  • Deep knowledge of object oriented programming and experience with at least one object oriented programming language (Java, Javascript, C++, C#, Ruby, Python)
  • High proficiency in at least one high-level programming language and web framework (NodeJS, Express, Hapi, etc.)
  • Proven understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, JSON, and/or Ajax
  • Validated understanding of Database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL and relational database schema design
  • Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using Java, JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Current or Previous labcorp experience
  • Experience building highly scalable SFDC solutions.
  • SFDC technical certifications.
  • Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Track record of being a top performer in current and past roles

Application Window: 2/16-2/18

Pay Range: $145K-$165K annually

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION:

The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
