The KSE Media Broadcast Services Department provides comprehensive support for live production, post-production video, and motion graphic production across all KSE Denver teams, Community Relations, Marketing, Ticket Sales, Social Media, Sponsorship, and Executive staff, as well as production staff, event management, conversion, and venue engineering at Ball Arena & Dick's Sporting Goods Park. Our responsibilities include creating content, programming, and ensuring the proper broadcast or display of content on video and LED boards throughout KSE venues.

Nature of Work:

Remote Production Manager and Engineer In Charge of KSE venues – Ball Arena and Dick’s Sporting Goods Park. Also provides engineering support for broadcast production as required.

Examples of work performed:

  • Functions as Primary Engineer In Charge of all games and events at Ball Arena & Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
  • First point of contact to coordinate & manage national and RSN remote broadcast production of all related activities at Ball Arena and DSGP (truck parking & power, camera positions & platforms, booth and dressing room assignments).
  • Compiling information for games/broadcasts, coordinating, and distributing to all internal and external parties.
  • Troubleshooting & problem-solving equipment failures during events.
  • Function as technical liaison to television and radio broadcasters visiting Ball Arena and DSGP.
  • Assists with repair and maintenance of all equipment including cameras, broadcast A/V equipment, cabling, etc.
  • Setup required equipment for productions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    1. BS/BA degree in Broadcast, Video, Media or related field
    2. 2+ years’ experience in a broadcast or similar technical environment to include audio, video and other media or equivalent combination of education and experience
    3. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Preferred
    1. Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.

Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Skilled in audio and video production techniques relating to live and recorded programs and OCE applications.
  • Thorough understanding of analog and digital A/V signal flow and broadcast systems including but not limited to: routers, video switchers, video servers, cameras, CCUs, RCPs, XCUs, monitors, audio mixers, intercoms, signal processing and measurement equipment and Adobe based non-linear edit systems.
  • Must be able to rapidly assess technical difficulties and provide recovery and/or work-around options.
  • Must have electronic and mechanical repair and maintenance aptitude and skills related to broadcast equipment and cabling.
  • Must understand IT cabling and infrastructures and related A/V applications.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to work in highly dynamic and/or sometimes stressful “live” environments.

Compensation:

  • Base salary range $85,000 - $90,000 per annum
  • Eligible for annual discretionary bonus
