Kin is seeking a Claims Adjuster with first-party property claims experience to join their growing team. As a Claims Adjuster, you will guide customers through the claims process with empathy and clarity, helping them navigate property damage situations with confidence. You will investigate and manage claims from a variety of perils efficiently and thoroughly to ensure timely, fair resolutions.
Requirements
- Examining and appropriately interpreting insureds’ policies, forms in force, and other records to determine coverage and extent of company’s liability
- Keeping active communication with customers throughout the Claims process
- Drafting, approving, and adjusting estimates of damage and loss amounts
- Using varying methods of investigation, including taking recorded statements, consulting with police, inspecting property damage, and reviewing documentation
- Partner with field appraisers to manage home estimates/repairs
- Estimating cost of repair, replacement, or compensation
- Writing clear, concise diary notes in addition to setting field assignments, saving contacts, and issuing payments
- Appropriately applying knowledge of multiple state statutes, including the insurance code of ethics, rules, regulations, and guidelines
