QA Tester: Contractor

Kaizen Analytix LLC, an analytics services company, is seeking a qualified QA Tester with experience in systems and dashboard QA Testing. Responsibilities and job requirements are below. This role requires an estimated 40 hours/week commitment for approximately 6 – 9 months.

As a QA Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring that the highest quality standards are adhered to in the testing and promotion of IT and business capabilities to production usage.

Responsibilities:

Candidate will be responsible for executing tasks related to Quality Assurance Testing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for manual testing.
  • Conduct thorough testing of dashboards using Power BI to ensure functionality, accuracy, and optimal performance.
  • Verify data quality and integrity by executing data validation scripts and conducting data quality checks.
  • Test data scripts and pipelines to ensure proper data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Identify, document, and track issues, and work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide detailed test reports and status updates to project teams and management.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and data testing.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience in QA testing, with a focus on data and Power BI.
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester, preferably with a focus on data testing.
  • Strong proficiency in testing dashboards, specifically using Power BI.
  • Familiarity with data quality assurance processes and methodologies.
  • Experience in testing data scripts, ETL processes, and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with testing tools and methodologies.
  • Position Type: 1099 Contractor

Preferred:

  • Certification in software testing or relevant field.
  • Experience with automated testing tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
