What you will be doing
- Manage accounts payable and receivable providing necessary support to AP/AR accounting specialists
- Be the right hand of the Lead accountant (splitting key projects and providing backup)
- Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Participation/management of projects related to digitization and automation of financial systems and processes, e.g. introduction of IFRS, conversion of accounting software
- Preparation for external accounting audits
- Leading communication with external accounting firms responsible for UK/US legal entities.
What we need from you
- Work is an important part of your life and you are looking for a challenging environment to develop yourself further.
- At least 4 years of practical experience in accounting, preferably in a tax or auditing firm. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures.
- Advanced user knowledge of DATEV and/or NetSuite. Experience in migration from Datev to NetSuite or other accounting software is a big plus.
- Good understanding of German accounting according to HGB and ideally IFRS.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and trial balance statements.
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Fluent in English. German is a big big plus.
