As a PHP Tech Lead, you will take charge of architecting, developing, and enhancing a high-impact SaaS platform that supports millions of users globally. You will guide and mentor a team of developers, driving technical excellence while ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable web applications. This role offers the opportunity to influence the technical direction of products powering online payments and digital economies, while collaborating across remote and cross-functional teams. You will be hands-on with PHP (Laravel) development, overseeing the full lifecycle of projects from design through deployment and monitoring. Accountabilities:

• Lead development of scalable, high-quality PHP (Laravel) applications that support creator platforms and online payment systems.
• Mentor and guide developers through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural planning.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, from technical design to deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Facilitate architectural discussions and ensure alignment on technical direction across the engineering team.
• Implement and enforce best practices for security, reliability, performance, and data integrity in financial and transaction-based applications.
• Contribute directly to codebase as a core technical contributor, ensuring high standards and maintainability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel, with expertise in modern development methodologies and design patterns.
• Strong knowledge of web development standards, including RESTful APIs, microservices, caching, testing, and CI/CD.
• Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and maintaining code quality.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and query optimization for performance.
• Proficiency in automated testing (unit, feature, integration) for transaction-heavy applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose creative and secure technical solutions.
• Attention to detail with a focus on security, reliability, and data integrity in financial systems.
• Strong communication skills and experience working in remote or distributed teams.
