The Network Engineer II will play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites in a dynamic, clinical-oriented enterprise environment. This role requires both advanced technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to work with IT teams, leadership, and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience with network security, VoIP systems, Meraki devices, and Microsoft Azure Firewalls, as well as familiarity with Python, PowerShell, and AI-driven solutions. Accountabilities
- Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure across multiple locations to ensure high availability and performance.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network operations, including Meraki devices (switches, routers, and access points) and VoIP systems.
- Conduct regular network security assessments and implement best practices to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT project initiatives.
- Document network configurations, procedures, and changes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, including HIPAA.
- Provide backup support for help desk operations and maintain effective communication with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Participate in scheduled meetings, contribute to ongoing IT initiatives, and support continuous learning culture.
Requirements
- 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 4 years focused on networking.
- Proven experience leading network-related projects across multiple sites (20+ locations).
- Strong knowledge of Meraki/Cisco network devices and Azure Firewall; CCNA certification preferred.
- Experience with VoIP systems, including Microsoft Teams Voice.
- Competency in Python, PowerShell, and AI-driven IT solutions.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and experience working in healthcare or regulated environments preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel locally within Southern California, with occasional extended travel.
