As a Backend Engineer in the SaaS domain, you will play a key role in building and maintaining highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based services. You will collaborate with a globally distributed engineering team to design and implement modern microservices, leveraging containerized environments, serverless architectures, and public cloud platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to the evolution of a modern data protection platform, and influence the quality and reliability of services used by thousands of customers worldwide. You will actively participate in design discussions, code reviews, and production support, shaping both the technical direction and operational excellence of the platform. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain highly reliable and scalable SaaS microservices using Golang and other modern programming languages.
• Integrate services with various cloud-based managed solutions and ensure operational excellence in production environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support service reliability and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with a distributed engineering team to review code, provide feedback, and drive technical discussions.
• Take ownership of service performance, efficiency, and reliability in a cloud environment.
• Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture decisions, and best practices across the team.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, automated testing, and security practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience designing, building, and implementing SaaS or large-scale cloud services on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in modern programming languages such as Go, Java, Scala, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures and scalable, concurrent systems.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
• Passion for high-quality code, extensibility, testing, and automation.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills within distributed teams.

Preferred:

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration tools.
• Previous work in the data protection or cloud backup industry.
