As a Senior Python Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, multi-tenant applications while guiding engineering teams toward technical excellence. This hands-on position combines coding, architectural oversight, and team leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive initiatives that enhance system scalability, performance, and reliability. Your expertise will directly impact software quality, engineering efficiency, and the success of complex projects. Accountabilities
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring high coding standards and architectural best practices.
- Stay actively involved in coding, contributing to critical components and system design.
- Collaborate with architects to define, maintain, and improve scalable, robust software architecture.
- Lead software development projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within engineering teams.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including product managers, operations, and sales, to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor KPIs to measure engineering effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy or Django.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design principles.
- Proven experience developing and overseeing complex, enterprise-level applications.
- Hands-on experience with relational database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with SaaS software development and cloud platforms (AWS experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Experience managing and delivering large or complex software projects with high-quality results.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Flask, MongoDB, Kafka, TypeScript, and statically typed Python codebases.
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Previous experience in financial services, traditional finance, or crypto software development.
