Backend Engineer (Python / Java / AWS / GCP)

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services using Python and/or Java
• Build and maintain APIs and service orchestration layers
• Work with PostgreSQL and optimize database performance
• Integrate with external systems and third-party services
• Improve system scalability, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Participate in testing, monitoring, and CI/CD processes

Some Must-Haves:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong experience with Python and/or Java
• Experience building APIs and distributed systems
• Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with AWS or GCP
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a consulting environment

Other Information

The work hours will be approximately 9:00 am to 5:00 pm EST. We work for security-conscious clients, thus background checks will be required.
