The Regional EHS Manager plays a vital role in implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across assigned factories. Reporting to the Senior Regional EHS Manager, this position ensures compliance with global EHS strategies, regulatory requirements, and internal expectations. The role is responsible for driving safety initiatives, managing risk mitigation efforts, conducting audits, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.
What Will You Do?
Implement and oversee global EHS programs, policies, and procedures across assigned sites.
Conduct site audits and risk assessments, providing guidance on compliance gaps and mitigation strategies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for workplace safety, environmental impact reduction, and regulatory adherence.
Develop and mentor site EHS professionals, ensuring talent growth and succession planning.
Communicate EHS performance, risks, and initiatives to senior leadership and operations teams.
Track and report key EHS metrics, including emissions reduction, regulatory compliance, and incident prevention.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to EHS best practices and industry regulations.
Identify cost-effective solutions for implementing corrective actions and process improvements.
Up to 50% travel across the U.S. and Canada.
How Will You Get Here?
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Experience:
7-10+ years of experience in EHS, preferably within a global electronic manufacturing environment.
5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Experience with EHS audits, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Proven ability to influence leadership and drive a proactive EHS culture.
Expertise in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and regulatory compliance.
Ability to analyze EHS data, track trends, and implement improvement plans.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and EHS management systems.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in global EHS programs and engaging with government agencies or industry groups.
Familiarity with greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting and emissions reduction initiatives.
Strong emotional intelligence and political acumen for navigating complex EHS challenges.
