We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead a 10–12 person distributed engineering team working on mission-critical systems. This role requires strong technical leadership, excellent cross-functional communication, and hands-on development capabilities. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders, own architectural decisions, and ensure high-quality software delivery across multiple tech stacks.
Requirements:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a distributed team of engineers working with C++, Java, Angular, and Python.
- Drive architecture decisions, ensure scalability, and create clear system diagrams for high-level technical discussions.
- Remain hands-on in coding and reviewing contributions in core systems.
- Promote engineering best practices and ensure cross-functional collaboration to avoid silos.
- Track progress, unblock team members, and align deliverables with strategic goals.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in engineering management roles.
- Strong technical background in C++, with proficiency in Java, Angular, and Python scripting.
- Proven experience managing geographically distributed teams.
- Hands-on experience with software architecture and system design, including diagramming (UML, C4, etc.).
- Willingness to contribute to codebase when needed (not just a people manager).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable managing engineers working across multiple tech stacks.
- Strong English communication skills - Minimum B2 level proficiency
