We're Insomniac Games, an American video game developer founded in 1994 by Ted Price, originally as Xtreme Software before being renamed a year later. For over two and a half decades, we've been dedicated to creating games that leave a positive and lasting impact on people's lives. Our core mission is to craft unforgettable video game experiences that promote positive messages. We love telling stories where good triumphs over evil, focusing on inspiring themes like friendship, self-sacrifice, and the courage to fight for the greater good. This philosophy isn't just in our games; it's woven into the fabric of our company culture. We strive to be leaders in the game development community, sharing our knowledge and setting an example with how we interact with our fans and peers. We're not afraid to speak up about fairness and diversity, and we actively support charitable initiatives, especially those focused on helping children, both locally and globally.

Our journey began with 'Disruptor' for the PlayStation, a learning experience that, despite critical praise, almost led to our bankruptcy. However, we quickly found success with 'Spyro the Dragon,' a beloved franchise that spawned two sequels. Over the years, we've had the privilege of creating iconic series such as 'Ratchet & Clank' and 'Resistance,' both of which have achieved critical and commercial success. We've also ventured into multiplatform development with titles like 'Sunset Overdrive' and, more recently, the highly acclaimed 'Marvel's Spider-Man' series. In 2019, we proudly became part of Sony Interactive Entertainment's PlayStation Studios. Headquartered in Burbank, California, with an additional studio in Durham, North Carolina, we've grown significantly but still cherish the collaborative and inclusive workplace culture that has earned us numerous 'best workplace' awards. We are world builders, constantly challenging ourselves to create unforgettable settings, characters, and gameplay, always aiming for the highest quality in audio and visuals.
