Overview: The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for developing, planning, managing, and executing internal content delivery across the enterprise. This role will play an integral part in the development of all internal communications and intranet content to support associate engagement throughout Inovalon. This includes partnering with leaders and key stakeholders to develop and deliver content that effectively informs and engages associates across the enterprise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Director, Internal Communications & Operations to lead and execute content development in support of overall communication strategies
  • Builds relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure content development priorities are aligned and follow established communications processes, procedures and policies;
  • Collaborates with functions across the business via the Communications Council to develop content and communications for the overall Inovalon enterprise as needed;
  • Manages the enterprise communications calendar, ensuring appropriate cadence, channel alignment, and coordination across internal platforms;
  • Partners with stakeholders to develop, copy edit, and publish content to nova, Inovalon's company intranet, in alignment with brand standards and the communications calendar;
  • Supports the development of town hall content, including talking points and slide materials, and collaborates with the Marketing Communications team on production logistics;
  • Supports the planning and execution of ONE Inovalon Connect, a monthly all-company meeting, including agenda development and content gathering across stakeholders;
  • Measures the success of internal communications, reports on trends, and advises on potential opportunities or risks;
  • Ensures company messages are consistent across all associate audiences and connected to overarching goals and initiatives
  • Other duties as requested and/or determined;
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon’s Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in communications, PR/media relations, community engagement and/or social/community platforms;
  • Previous content management experience
  • Experience using analytics tools to track and report on content performance.
  • Exceptional communication skills;
  • Very high attention to detail;
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Excellent time management skills;
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills;
  • Ability to multi-task with close attention to detail;
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure & meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Media Studies, Business or a related field).

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position may include 5-10% as needed for job duties.

Inovalon Offers a Competitive Salary and Benefits Package

In addition to the base compensation, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$63,000—$80,000 USD

This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship (e.g. H-1B, TN, or E-3). Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States as a condition of employment. (This is only applicable for US-based positions)
