Responsibilities

The role of this entry level Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for the design of B2C and B2B brand enhancing creative used in the retail space to sell the New Jersey Lottery product. In addition to point of purchase design, this position provides internal support developing a variety of materials for the sales and marketing teams. Typical design projects may include, but are not limited to, developing point of purchase assets from creative layout through delivery, newsletters, one-sheet training flyers, brochures, logo work, social media posts, game design, play slips, event and promotional collateral, t-shirts, PowerPoint themes, memos, and professional document layout and graphics.

  • Work with teams to design/revise exciting and innovative point of purchase collateral for the retail sales channel. Primary responsibility includes development of planograms, menu mats, winner awareness banners/stars, instant ticket inserts, etc.
  • Provide design work and support across all areas of Marketing, including promotional team event collateral, advertising assets (print pieces, social posts, digital ads, coupons), game support (play slips, logo work), research assistance (resizing files for use in research studies), etc.
  • Shepherd each project assigned through delivery phase (working with printer for specs, handling bleed/die lines, uploading files to printer website, color proofing, archiving layered files, etc.). May include extensive collaboration (and factory visits) with printers for non-standard projects like cardboard standee units or innovative retail solutions.
  • Update and track progress of all current jobs assigned through WorkFront routing system and software platform.
  • Review job details and as needed, communicate with key stakeholders by project to ensure creative briefs and job direction is clear and understood prior to design creation. Responsible for proofing final product along with 360 Marketing Operations team to ensure appropriate information is displayed, no typos, etc.
  • Ensure all projects correctly display Responsible Gaming messaging and logo marks.
  • Work with large scale plotter and when needed, mount large scale posters on various types of boards.
  • Assist with brainstorming campaign promotional materials and display pieces.
  • Liaise with 360 Marketing Coordinator on job progress and tracking when needed, providing follow up details on status, any outstanding information needed, updates on timing, etc.
  • Liaise with agency partners when resizing or revising external creative work as needed (e.g., discuss what file types are needed for any given project, specs, etc.)
  • Collaborate with IGT technology team for game support requests (mock-ups and design files for logos, play slips, game layout, etc.) during testing phase and through production.
  • Assist internal sales team with design for all training and instructional material needed.
  • Assisting team with special design projects that may include, but are not limited to, PowerPoint theme creation, Business Plan document layout and design, interior decorating advice, photography, etc. May be called upon to assist with last-minute special design and production requests on behalf of Lottery client.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design

Years of Experience:

  • 3-5 years' work experience in field of design. Retail marketing / CPG experience preferred.

Training Requirements

  • Full Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) expertise. Mac required, PC preferred.
  • MS Word, PowerPoint (both Mac and PC preferred)
  • Acrobat Professional (both Mac and PC preferred)

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $$67,200 - $164,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
