GIS CAD/BIM Specialist (Puerto Rico)

ICF is seeking a skilled GIS CAD/BIM Specialist for our GIS operations in Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Building Information Modeling (BIM). This role involves creating, updating, and maintaining spatial and design data to support various projects within our organization.

What will you be doing?

• Collect, process, and manage CAD, BIM, and GIS data, maintain, and update databases, and document data sources and methodologies accurately.

• Create detailed facility and building maps and interaction visualizations for various applications, utilizing CAD software to produce and edit engineering drawings and site plans, and integrating GIS and BIM data for comprehensive visualizations.

• Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring accurate and seamless data exchange between GIS, CAD, and BIM systems.

• Conduct quality control checks on GIS, CAD, and BIM data to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.

What you must have:

• Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, planning and development, or a CAD-related field from a four-year college or university;

• Associate’s degree in a relevant field with additional 2-3 years of related CAD experience and/or training will also be considered.

• Technical Skills:

• 3+ years of cadastral data creation, editing, and integration using AutoCAD. Ability to use BIM software management systems like AutoDesk Revit.

• 3+ years of expertise in the Esri ArcGIS suite, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and relevant extensions (e.g., ArcGIS GeoBIM, ArcGIS Drone2Map).

• 3+ years of GIS spatial projections and datum management, including defining and projecting when necessary.

• 3+ years of experience with CAD software, including the ability to create, edit, and manage detailed engineering drawings and site plans.

• 3+ years of experience using BIM software, particularly AutoDesk Revit, including the ability to create, edit, and manage comprehensive building models.

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Public Trust security clearance

What we’d like you to have:

• GIS or CAD certifications are a plus

• Demonstrated ability to leverage cloud hosted software including managing GIS and CAD/BIM data in a cloud environment.

• Proficiency with GPS data collection techniques and Esri mobile solutions (Field Apps, Survey 123, QuickCapture).

• Experience managing GIS/CAD projects and familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for GIS/CAD automation and customization.

• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate both technical and business requirements to technical and non-technical users.

• Familiarity and experience with related specialty ArcGIS tools such as ArcGIS Parcel Fabric, ArcGIS Image Server, ArcGIS GeoEvent Server, and ArcGIS Utility Network Services

• Bilingual Spanish fluency
