Job Overview

The Regional Vice President of Commercial Americas is a senior commercial leader with direct oversight of topline sales performance across a portfolio of full‑service and select‑service Tier II hotels—both managed and franchise—supporting the Vice President, Commercial Services, Managed, Franchise & Lifestyle Leaders. This role provides strategic direction and operational leadership for all sales and marketing functions, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities while driving sustained revenue growth. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Commercial Services, Americas, the RVP is responsible for shaping sales and marketing budgets, directing business planning and performance forecasts, managing escalations, and establishing goal‑setting frameworks that accelerate market‑share gains, in addition to leading Commercial Services input on proformas and market intelligence for new developments and renewals.

This leader plays a critical role in energizing and inspiring hotel teams, fostering a culture of high performance, and guiding communication, training, and development to ensure consistent execution of effective commercial strategies. The role also contributes to talent development across the region, including involvement in hiring decisions and supporting performance management and accountability. Success in this position requires bold thinking, strong business acumen, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to design and implement protocols and processes that fuel innovation and meaningful change. You will be part of a team deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion—one that values curiosity, continuous learning, and building strong connections with colleagues, stakeholders, and guests across the organization.

Responsibilities

    • Act as a connector between field and corporate teams, ensuring property‑level needs are clearly communicated and understood across the organization.
  • Strategic Revenue Planning & Performance Optimization
    • Engage closely with assigned properties to ensure the Strategic Revenue Plan is designed, aligned, and executed to meet or exceed ownership expectations.
    • Support the creation, refinement, and continuous improvement of the Strategic Revenue Plan—including pricing, segmentation strategy, demand generation, and market share objectives.
    • Partner with hotels to identify performance gaps, develop corrective action plans, and drive sustainable improvements toward stabilization and long‑term revenue growth.
    • Monitor key sales, revenue and market metrics to support data‑driven strategies and ensure alignment with enterprise commercial priorities.
  • Corporate Commercial Activation & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Liaise between hotel teams and corporate commercial functions (Revenue Management, Sales, Digital, Loyalty, Brand, Marketing and Analytics) to ensure full activation of enterprise resources at the property level.
    • Serve as a central coordinating point to streamline communication, eliminate barriers, and ensure timely support for properties from specialized corporate teams.
    • Collaborate across regions and function within a highly matrixed organization to align priorities, share best practices, and improve the overall commercial ecosystem.
  • Hotel Escalation Management & Operational Support
    • Manage sales, revenue and marketing related hotel escalations, working with leaders at both property and corporate levels to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Provide leadership support during high‑priority situations—including performance challenges, transitions, ownership concerns, and operational disruptions.
    • Ensure effective tactical sales planning, segment deployment, and account management practices are in place across assigned hotels.
  • Topline Revenue Growth & Market Share Acceleration
    • Contribute to the development and execution of topline revenue generation strategies that align with enterprise goals and drive RevPAR penetration and market share gains.
    • Guide hotels in deploying their sales, marketing and revenue teams effectively, ensuring the right resources and capabilities are in place to optimize performance.
    • Identify opportunities to leverage corporate tools, analytics, and brand initiatives to strengthen competitive position and accelerate momentum.
  • Talent Development, Coaching & Organizational Leadership
    • Support talent planning across the region by participating in hiring decisions, recommending succession plans, and influencing talent deployment.
    • Partner with hotel leadership to ensure strong sales team performance through coaching, capability development, and accountability frameworks.
    • Promote a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and operational excellence aligned with Hyatt’s values.
  • Continuous Improvement, Owner Satisfaction
    • Establish processes and protocols that elevate commercial effectiveness across the hotel portfolio, ensuring consistent improvement in execution, strategy, and outcomes.
    • Focus on stabilizing hotel performance following openings, transitions, or performance downturns, ensuring sustainable, repeatable commercial success.
    • Ensure owner satisfaction is strengthened through transparent communication, measurable results, and proactive strategic support.
    • Lead Commercial Services efforts for the Hyatt Development, Feasibility, and Finance team by producing proformas and market intelligence that shape strategy for new developments and property renewals.
