Overview
This Engineering Manager (Player/Coach) role is responsible for leading a team of software engineers while also contributing hands-on to the technical design and development of Reporting & Analytics product area. In this hybrid leadership role, you will be accountable for engineering delivery, team development, architectural direction, and maintaining high standards of software quality—while still actively participating in coding, reviewing, troubleshooting, and helping solve complex engineering challenges.
You will work across the full development lifecycle, partnering closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver high-impact features. As a player/coach, you will shape engineering culture, cultivate strong technical talent, and ensure that the team is aligned with HungerRush’s goals as we transition into an era where AI-enabled development becomes a core part of how we operate. Our focus is on embedding AI into our internal processes to streamline development, improve decision-making, and accelerate the delivery of business value. We are looking for a leader who is excited to innovate, adapt quickly, and help build a high-performing engineering organization.
Your team will own the end-to-end reporting pipeline—from ingestion to modeling to delivery—using technologies such as Azure Data Explorer (ADX), SQL Server / T-SQL, C#, and VueJS, supported by strong Azure infrastructure. Deep experience with analytics best-practices (grains, dimensions, aggregates, semantic modeling) is essential.
This role is critical in evolving the HungerRush data platform into a scalable, high-performance source of truth for customers and internal teams.
This is a remote role.
