WelbeHealth PACE helps seniors stay in their homes and communities by providing medical care and community-based services. We believe in going the extra mile and aim to make a genuine difference in our participants’ lives.

The Engineering Manager, Data Warehouse Engineering assignment will lead the architecture, engineering, and optimization of WelbeHealth’s data warehouse built on Databricks and Azure, enabling scalable analytics across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Services, DevSecOps, and modern CI/CD automation pipelines, with proven experience building secure, compliant data architectures in a healthcare setting. This role includes data architecture, mentoring a team of data engineers, and fostering an innovative, collaborative engineering culture that embraces automation, modern development practices, and emerging AI-driven solutions.

This role is different because the Engineering Manager (Date Warehouse Engineering) at WelbeHealth:

  • Directly architects and secures the enterprise data foundation that powers care delivery for vulnerable seniors, building a compliant, AI-enabled Databricks/Azure lakehouse that transforms clinical, operational, and regulatory data into actionable insights across the organization
  • Operates as a true hands-on technical leader, not just a people manager, blending data architecture, DevSecOps automation, CI/CD rigor, and healthcare compliance expertise to scale a modern, secure data platform while mentoring a high-performing, innovation-driven engineering team

We care about our team members. That’s why we offer:

  • Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days
  • 401K savings + match
  • Comprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonus
  • And additional benefits!

On the day-to-day, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, fostering an engineering culture centered on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Architect, design, and manage data warehouse and lakehouse solutions on Databricks and Azure, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Evaluate and implement AI and machine learning technologies within Databricks and Azure environments to optimize data processes and accelerate analytics capabilities
  • Implement DevSecOps principles across the data engineering environment, integrating security, compliance, and automation into every stage of the development lifecycle
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows to promote automated testing, deployment, and environment consistency
  • Drive automation across data ingestion, transformation, and quality frameworks to deliver efficient, robust, and scalable data processes
  • Collaborate with Analytics, IT, and business partners to deliver secure, efficient, and compliant data warehouse solutions that meet organizational data needs, as well as oversee data modeling, integration, governance, and data quality frameworks that ensure accuracy, consistency, and business trust in analytic data sets

Job Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in data engineering or data warehouse architecture, including at least three (3) years in a technical leadership position
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Deep expertise in Databricks architecture including Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and MLflow, with strong experience implementing complex data pipelines and transformations
  • Hands-on experience architecting and deploying analytics and data infrastructure on Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Azure SQL, Storage, etc.)
  • Proven experience implementing DevSecOps frameworks, secure data operations, and governance in regulated industries - healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent technologies
  • Experience integrating AI and machine learning capabilities to streamline data workflows and enhance analytical insights

We are seeking an Engineering Manager (Data Warehouse Engineering) with at least seven (7) years of progressive experience in data engineering or data warehouse architecture, including technical leadership in complex, regulated environments. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Databricks and Azure, along with a strong foundation in DevSecOps, automation, and secure, scalable data platforms. If you’re ready to lead hands-on architecture, mentor high-performing engineers, and build the modern data foundation that powers care for vulnerable seniors, we’d love to hear from you.

At WelbeHealth, we're driven by a deep-seated mission to transform the lives of our most vulnerable seniors, enabling them to thrive and live with greater connection, vitality, and meaning. We were founded in 2015 by physicians who envisioned a world where every individual, regardless of age or health challenges, can participate fully in their communities until their final days. Our approach is rooted in the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), a comprehensive model that integrates all aspects of medical and social services. This means we coordinate everything from primary and specialist medical care, dental services, and physical and occupational therapy, to transportation for appointments, meal provisions, and engaging social activities. We believe in a holistic view of well-being, addressing not just the physical health needs but also the social determinants that impact our participants' lives.

Our commitment extends beyond just providing services; it's about fostering a culture of 'Courage to Love.' This core value guides how we interact with our participants, their families, and each other. We strive to create an environment where every person feels uniquely cared for and valued. As a Public Benefit Company (PBC), a status we proudly adopted in June 2022, we are the first and only PACE provider to make this formal commitment. This means we hold ourselves to a higher standard of transparency and accountability, ensuring our mission and purpose are at the forefront of every decision. We are dedicated to improving the lives of older adults through these fully integrated services, creating meaningful job opportunities where our team members can serve a cause greater than themselves, and enriching communities by empowering our elders to live longer, more connected lives. We are constantly pioneering resourceful solutions to support participant health and independence, working collaboratively as a team with the shared intention of making a profound difference.
