Human’s technology organization plays a critical role in delivery, differentiation, and growth of Humana’s offerings to members, patients, and providers.The AVP of IT Services & Engineering Simplification will lead the development and implementation of streamlined IT services and engineering processes, driving end-to-end design of the most complex processes within our organization, ensuring that both customer experience (CX) and user experience (UX) considerations are at the forefront. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and aligning IT services with overarching business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT service management, engineering simplification, process design, with a particular emphasis on customer-centric approaches, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
This leader will be responsible forensuring that technology and processes deliver substantial business value, promote collaboration across teams, and establisha customer-centric approach. The role will involve close collaboration with IT Senior Leadership to ensure that design standards are established and adhered to, maximizing gains in service and engineering transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a strategic vision for IT services and engineering simplification that aligns with the company’s goals and objectiveson enhanced customer experience.
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in processes and systems.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation through services and simplification engineering from inception, to deliver, to sustained impacts.
Lead & manage initiatives to simplify end-to-end IT processes, enhance service delivery, and improve overall operational efficiency across multiple departments/teams in IT.
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in IT services.
Oversee the management of IT service portfolios, monitoring and reporting on the progress of services and simplification engineering projects.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the IT services and engineering teams.
Manage a team of initiative leads, who work with cross-IT implementation/transformation teams.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of IT services and engineering processes.
Manage budgets and resource allocation to ensure optimalutilization of IT resources.
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify potential impacts on the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in IT services management, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of driving process simplification and operational efficiency in IT environments.
Experience with leading initiatives driven by customer experience and user experience principles, along with best practices in process design.
Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and engineering best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$189,400 - $260,500 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
