The Senior Director, Solution Architecture is a leader in the Hitachi Solutions organization, responsible for providing innovative, automated solutions in the Microsoft cloud environment. This role involves managing a team of Solution Architects, collaborating with Sales and Delivery teams, and working with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into cloud solutions.
Requirements
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Solution Architects, ensuring their professional development and performance.
- Collaboration: Work with Microsoft and other partner software and services organizations to ensure Hitachi Solutions is at the forefront of technology innovation.
- Solution Development: Develop and define solution offerings and reference architectures with Sales, Marketing, and Delivery teams.
- Customer Engagement: Understand customer requirements and translate them into innovative cloud solutions leveraging Hitachi Solutions’ core capabilities.
- Sales Support: Contribute to crafting sales deals and develop conceptual solution design documentation during the sales process.
- Project Management: Collaborate with multiple internal and external teams to define the scope of work and assist in conducting meetings with customers and prospects.
- Documentation: Assist in the creation and presentation of sales documents such as Estimates, Statements of Work, RFPs, and Proposal presentation decks.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing refinement of communications, workshop and delivery templates, processes, patterns, and practices for the Solution Architecture team.
- Project Support: Onboard Delivery team to the conceptual solution architecture and facilitate regular project architecture reviews during the Design phase.
- Internal Engagement: Support internal engagement through open and effective communication across Hitachi Solutions practice areas, IP, and marketing & sales teams.
- Travel: Travel up to 50% annually to support sales pursuits.
- Expertise: Mastery of Azure solutions with previous experience in complex Cloud architecture design.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience delivering complex enterprise solutions leveraging Azure or similar, and working with cross-functional teams in a heavily matrixed organization.
- Pre-sales Activities: 5+ years of experience performing and leading pre-sales activities including deal cost estimation and resource planning.
- Team Management: Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team of technical professionals.
- Communication Skills: Ability to express complex technical and business concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and support sales pursuits with a geographically dispersed team.
- Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving attitude and self-motivation.
- Contract Development: Experience in contract development preferred.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. Certification in relevant Microsoft discipline(s) preferred.
