We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented People Administrator to support the People Services team. The People Admin will support the People Services department in various administrative tasks and ensure the smooth running of People operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain employee records within the HRIS system
  • Update HR databases (e.g., new hires, separations, terminations).
  • Update HR documents, such as employment contracts and HR policies.
  • Assist in payroll preparation by daily review of the timekeeping system.

Onboarding:

  • Communicate with new hires to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Ensure all necessary tools and resources are properly updated prior to new hire start dates.
  • Assist and participate in new hire orientation.
  • Complete I-9 documentation and E-verify.

Payroll and Benefits Administration:

  • Payroll Processing: Assisting with payroll preparation, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Benefits Coordination: Managing employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Leave Management: Tracking and managing employee leave requests and balances.

Compliance/Reporting:

  • Ensure employees are assigned to appropriate required labor compliance training.
  • Update platforms with change management processes as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of necessary compliance reports as requested by department heads.
  • Update organizational charts as required.
  • Create monthly headcount and status change reports as requested.

Technology and Systems:

  • HRIS Management: Managing Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), ensuring data integrity, and generating reports.
  • System Updates: Keeping HR technology and systems up to date and training staff on their use.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Data Analysis: Analyzing HR data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
  • Reporting: Preparing and presenting HR metrics and reports to senior management.

General Support:

  • Provide support to the HR team on various projects and initiatives.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of progressive experience in HR administration including onboarding, benefits,
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems)
  • Experience presenting onboarding information on the first day to new employees
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Knowledge of HR software and databases
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • High attention to detail

You’ll likely have:

  • Hands-on experience in various HR functions such as recruiting, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build and maintain relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle and resolve conflicts and issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws: Understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • HR Technology: Proficiency in using HR software and tools.

Based on experience, compensation for the People Team Administrator is $25-$28 an hour (non-exempt.)
