Finance Team Manager

HeadQuarters is a global company operating in the cannabis industry, providing finance, sales operations, and logistics support to cannabis businesses. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Team Manager to lead our finance department. The Finance Team Manager will support our client facing finance/ accounting employees with training, development, and problem solving skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive experience in finance, and a passion for driving results.

The working time for this position: 9am - 5pm EST

Responsibilities:

• Act as finance/accounting department technical expert, answering questions of staff and assisting in problem resolution for accounting and finance questions.
• Provide on-the-job training on advanced accounting and finance skills.
• Monitor and report on team performance.
• Develop client relationships and escalate client concerns and/or potential problems.
• Coordinate department scheduling to leverage employee downtime to meet more client needs
• Approve all timecards ensuring on time payment for employees and contractors.
• Manage the performance management process.

Requirements

• GAAP Accounting
• AP / General Ledger / Cost Accounting
• Identifying best practices from what you see in the field
• Understanding of strengths and weaknesses of the teammates.
• Good with understanding people and their talents
• Persistence, Curiosity, Collaboration
• Ability to develop customer relationships
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Good organizational and time management skills
