✨The core mission of the Senior Data Engineer:

You will be involved in our data pipelines, maintain and develop new ones, improve data quality, make data available to the organisation and expand data usage across the organisation.

Your day-to-day will include end to end involvement and design of ETL processes, building accurate and effective machine learning models, ensuring that data is properly cleaned, transformed, and formatted, including monitoring data drift and ensuring that models are updated and retrained as necessary.

You will have the chance to contribute to our ongoing projects as well as participate in exciting new projects.

You will be involved with both consuming and developing REST APIs, managing data infrastructure and services with a plethora of key 3rd party tools.

🍺 The fellowship you’ll be joining:

Reporting to the Data Engineering Lead, you will be part of a 3 people team. You will collaborate closely with the Infrastructure, Product and Software Engineering department. Since you will be part of a new project, communication skills and out-of-the-box thinking will be key.

⚔️ Technology tools & weapons you’ll be using:

• Python, SQL, Airbyte, Kafka, Clickhouse, Snowflake etc.

• Combine, analyse and organise raw data from different sources
• Build data systems and pipelines
• Evaluate business needs and objectives by doing requirements capturing and analysis
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modelling

• Identify opportunities for data acquisition

🏆 Skills, knowledge, and experience points required to unlock the role of Senior Data Engineer at Hack The Box:

• Strong understanding of data modelling and architecture (Airbyte, Fivetran, Prefect)
• Proficient in tools for data manipulation, such as ETL (extract, transform, load) tools, data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Clickhouse, and data analysis tools such as SQL and Pandas.
• Proficiency in SQL, data pipelines and other data aggregation tools (dbt, OLAP db e.g. Clickhouse)
• Strong programming skills (preferably Python)
• Experience with production-level deployment and management of machine learning models
  Very good understanding of machine learning concepts (supervised/unsupervised, clustering techniques etc.)
• Knowledge of writing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Docker & Kubernetes experience will be considered a plus
• CI/CD mindset and best practices will be much appreciated

• Level 5: Congratulations, you're now a Guru! Not many reach this level 💪. Level’s objective: have a constructive, final conversation with senior leadership to explore the role and your future at HTB.
• Level 6: You've achieved the Omniscient rank and officially received an offer from HTB! To complete the last level and the Quest, all you need to do is accept the offer.
