We are a dynamic and growing registered Investment Advisor specializing in managing investment funds focused on ESG assets. We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Paralegal and Operations Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of efficient legal and operational processes for the company. The candidate will join the GoodFinch Legal team and will interact with and support the Corporate and Finance organizations of the company, with a primary focus on Fund administration and operations, and will work with the Legal organization in general.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Fund Transactions Facilitation and Corporate Governance:
  • Support the end-to-end process of fund transactions, from due diligence to documentation preparation and management to filings with regulatory bodies.
  • Work closely with the finance director to manage fund entities, including the administration of corporate governance matters.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate, tax, and accounting documents.
  • Legal Operations:
  • Develop and implement efficient processes to streamline legal operations within the company.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the legal and compliance functions.
  • Compliance Management:
  • Assist in managing compliance matters related to investment funds, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and update internal procedures accordingly.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate and organized legal and compliance documentation, including agreements, policies and regulatory filings.
  • Implement systems for efficient record-keeping and retrieval of relevant legal and operational information.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with various teams within the organization to ensure legal and compliance requirements are integrated into business processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel and regulatory bodies, as needed.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Leverage technical skills to enhance operational efficiency, using tools and technologies to automate routine tasks and improve workflow processes.
  • Stay informed about technology trends and implement relevant solutions

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; paralegal certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in a paralegal or legal operations role, preferably within the financial or investment industry.
  • Superior organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Technical proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance, compliance management, and fund administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent comprehension skills.
  • Demonstrated positive attitude with good judgment.
  • Great team player, calm under pressure, and inspires confidence from clients.
Compensation: 80k-100k DOE
