What this role is about:
RapidSOS is looking for an experienced paralegal to support a variety of initiatives aligned with the Company’s growth plans. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will assist in all aspects of contract review and management, tracking external counsel relationships, negotiating NDAs and helping run the department. Through your work, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with the legal team on a diverse range of legal topics. You’ll excel in this role if you are organized, have prior experience in corporate contract review, and have a mission driven attitude.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with all aspects of NDAs review and negotiation, including proofreading and editing
  • Support contract review, providing guidance and feedback to the legal team
  • Track legal spend, and assist with budget
  • Manage corporate filings and licensing
  • Provide input on processes and policies to help drive growth and progress
  • Track external counsel and partner relationships, and organize communications
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the legal team in supporting our fast-paced needs
  • Create processes and procedures that ensure legal team objectives are met or exceeded

What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • 5-7+ years of corporate paralegal experience preferably in a startup or mid to large corporate law firm environment
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, trouble-shooting and planning skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute through to completion
  • Creative problem-solving skills, reasoning ability and logical thought process
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
  • Strong desire to make a difference, that aligns with RapidSOS’ mission and values
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Starting pay for a successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience, relevant skills, training, education, location, business needs, or market demands. The compensation range for this role is $8,000 - $9,000 per month.
