Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to support our multi-regional cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role will focus on ensuring operational excellence by addressing P1-P5 issues in alignment with SLA requirements, implementing cost improvement initiatives, and exploring opportunities for tool unification. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services deployed at an enterprise scale and will collaborate with a distributed team of developers across various time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to and resolve P1-P5 issues in accordance with SLA requirements.
• Implement and recommend cost improvement strategies and ideas.
• Collaborate on tool unification efforts to streamline operations.
• Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure using Datadog to ensure performance and reliability.
• Support and manage various AWS services, including but not limited to: DynamoDB, Kinesis, Lambda, ECS, EKS, KMS, ALB
• Participate in a 24x5 support scheme, including on-call duties on weekends every 3-4 months.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams distributed across different time zones.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cloud engineering or related roles.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in AWS services, particularly in a multi-region deployment at enterprise scale.
• Experience with Datadog or similar monitoring tools.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and best practices.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus but not mandatory.
