About GlobalVision
Founded in 1990 by Reuben Malz, GlobalVision embarked on a mission to revolutionize the world of inspection technology. What began with the pioneering of the first camera-based TVS Proof-Reader system, at a time when hardcopy documents were the norm for approvals, has evolved into a global leadership position in digital proofreading. The early 90s saw the introduction of these innovative camera-based systems designed to meticulously check for packaging deviations. As the landscape shifted with the emergence of PDF as an industry standard in the early 2000s, GlobalVision adapted and innovated. This led to the development of software solutions capable of comparing digital files, ensuring accuracy throughout the entire product lifecycle.
The journey continued with significant milestones, including the release of the X-PRESS Robotic camera-based system in 1995 for inspecting press sheets, and the OCR Digital Text Comparator in 1998, marking GlobalVision's entry into text comparison for word files. The year 2000 was pivotal with the launch of Digital-Page, enabling comparisons between Word and PDF files, as well as PDF to PDF. Recognizing the need for more complex difference detection and handling larger files, DocuProof, a desktop application, was introduced in 2004. The transition from camera-based systems to scanners was marked by ScanTVS in 2006. Embracing the cloud, GlobalVision launched Proofware in 2010, its first cloud-based inspection application, facilitating the migration of pharmaceutical companies to web-based solutions. This spirit of innovation continued with the integration of GlobalVision technology into Esko systems in 2012 and the release of the GlobalVision Quality Control Platform in 2016, which consolidated all inspection technologies into a single desktop application. More recently, in 2020, GlobalVision launched Verify, a cloud-based proofreading platform hosted on AWS. Today, GlobalVision stands as a trusted partner for regulated industries worldwide, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions that span the entire quality process, empowering businesses to release products with confidence by eliminating errors and automating inspections. Brandon Malz stepped in as CEO in 2021, representing the second generation of leadership for the company.
