The Geoquip Marine Group embarked on its journey in 2011, founded by Andrew Wright, a seasoned professional with over 35 years in civil and geotechnical engineering. The company was established with a clear vision: to consolidate, complement, and enhance the assets, skills, and experience of personnel in associated companies within the offshore geotechnical and survey industries. From its inception, Geoquip Marine has been driven by a commitment to safely delivering reliable data crucial for the design of marine structures and for scientific exploration worldwide. The early years saw the company quickly establish itself, leveraging the extensive experience of its key personnel. A significant step in its expansion came in 2013 when the Group forged a partnership with Fukada, focusing on operations in Japan and South East Asia. This collaboration led to the successful completion of numerous deepwater gas hydrate and geotechnical investigations, laying the groundwork for future endeavors in the region, particularly in the burgeoning offshore renewables sector.

As the demand for offshore geotechnical solutions grew, particularly within the renewable energy and energy industries, Geoquip Marine continued to innovate and expand its capabilities. The company developed, designed, built, and operated state-of-the-art equipment, reflecting years of operational experience. This included the commissioning of advanced deep-water rigs that have been successfully deployed across the globe, from the South Pacific and Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean, Arabian Gulf, West Africa, and the Japanese Sea. Geoquip Marine's expertise encompasses obtaining data from the seabed and sub-strata, interpreting this data, and providing essential engineering and scientific recommendations to a diverse clientele. These clients include offshore renewable energy companies, scientific organizations, global energy companies, infrastructure developers, and government organizations. The company's services are vital for the design of various marine structures and for specialized activities such as well safety test drilling and mineral and gas hydrate exploration in deep waters. Over the years, Geoquip Marine has grown significantly, expanding its fleet and workforce to meet the evolving needs of the offshore industry. The company's commitment to safety, sustainability, and timely data delivery has solidified its reputation as a global leader in offshore geotechnical solutions.
