In this role, you will be a member of our Pointillist Development Team. Pointillist is a Customer Journey Management Platform that enables organizations to deliver frictionless, connected, and personalized experiences. By measuring, monitoring, and orchestrating exceptional customer journeys, Pointillist enables customer-centric enterprises to optimize CX and improve business outcomes. Your engineering work within this tool will have direct impact on how our customers deliver effectively towards their greater CX evolutionary goals.

As Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the development of components and services used to deliver mission-critical platform features. You will also manage a team of developers responsible for writing and maintaining the front-end and visualization web apps for Pointillist in Genesys Cloud.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Manage a team of several individual-contributor software engineers who work on HTML/CSS/JS web and full-stack applications

• Mentor and assign technical tasks to team members.

• Design new software features through agile development practices such as chartering, story-mapping, and regular stand-up meetings.

• Implement new features, work with support services to fix any issues found in the field, and monitor platform components.

• See features through deployment into production.

• Participate in code pull requests as a reviewer and author, staying open to constructive comments.

• Recommend new technologies as components of a solution when appropriate

• Work with Product Management during the requirements gathering phase.

• Adhere to Genesys Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

Minimum Requirements

• 7+ years’ experience in software engineering and in HTML/CSS/JS

• Working experience with REST APIs and JS UI Frameworks (Angular, Vue)

• Experience with testing frameworks such as cypress and playwright

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related work experience

The ideal candidate would also have experience with:

• Node.js development

• Source control and CI/CD tool such as Git and Jenkins

• AWS or other cloud computing platforms
