Job Title: Senior Revenue Assurance Analyst

Job Description:
- Part of a team that ensures that all revenue is accounted for in accordance with Genesys policies and accounting guidelines, i.e. ASC 606.
- Review and processing of data to ensure completeness and accuracy of data in the Revenue system (RevPro) and data warehouse (Snowflake).
- Determining and processing appropriate contract updates, revenue adjustments, and other journals in the Revenue System and the data warehouse.
- Revenue account reconciliation to GL and forecast.
- Operating and overseeing revenue data-related internal controls.
- Significant Excel analysis and manipulation of data to support the monthly close process.
- A variety of other processes to ensure the Revenue Accounting team meets its monthly and quarterly objectives.
Other Revenue Data Analyst Tasks:
- Working closely with Revenue Operations, Strategic Finance, Order Management, Collections, Operations, and Sales Personnel to meet business objectives.
- Prepare the analysis necessary to support the month-end close process.
- Support the revenue projects function in the design, testing, and implementation of updates to existing and new systems.
- Prepare ad hoc analysis, as needed.
Other:
- Maintain necessary financial and control records along with supporting documentation related to Revenue for audit and Sarbanes-Oxley purposes.
- Carrying out periodic compliance testing across all lines of business (SSP).
- Participation in ad hoc projects to support business initiatives including assessment of new products, acquisitions, and new internal revenue reporting needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7-10 years of General Ledger & Revenue accounting experience.
- Experience in revenue and sales analysis data
- Experience with software clients and/or industry
- Working knowledge of Software Revenue Recognition Accounting - ASC 606 and Familiarity with ASC 985-605 (formerly SOP 97-2), ASU 2009-13 (formerly EITF 08-1) and ASU 2009-14 (formerly EITF 09-3)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance
- Super-user (Advanced) in Excel (Pivoting, Lookups, etc)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, with great attention to detail
- Confidence and proven record of communicating both orally and written, including the dissemination of technical information.
- Ability to interact effectively with sales and product teams, functional peer groups, and subordinates and to gain cooperation from others, especially those in other departments, as well as with outside auditors and outside legal counsel.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of multiple concurrent and diversified tasks, while working with deadlines
- Problem solver: The candidate should be a strong, analytical problem solver with a common sense and practical solutions orientation.
Desirable Skills:
- An understanding of the Revenue accounting process.
- Experience using Salesforce, RevPro, NetSuite, and advanced Excel skills.
- Prior experience with a SaaS company
