Roles and Responsibilities
- Own the steam turbine system technologies and related engineering disciplines, such as thermodynamics, operability, design for manufacturing and design practices.
- Lead a team of Controlled Title Holders, ST System Integration Leaders, ST Thermal Performance Engineers, ST Operability Engineers, ST Design LiaisonEngineers who:
- Contribute to definition of the product strategy, multi generation product plan and multi generation technology plan
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, System Engineering, Performance Engineering and Component Engineering across NPI, Requisition Engineering and Service Engineering.
- Collaborate closely with associated engineering disciplines and their controlled title holders
- Deliver on specific NPI programs further developing, improving standardizing and automating steam turbine engineering processes
- Own the design and application space for steam turbines
- Own the steam turbine application catalogue
- Own the associated engineering hour estimation for requisition engineering
- Contribute to defining the product for bidding on customer inquiries
- Own the “as bid” P50 engineering thermal performance and other engineering parameter guarantees that enter into the product offering contracts
- Own the Reliability, availability and AM performance
- Collaborate with requisition and service engineering to assess business opportunity and evaluate necessary resources and schedule for customer deliveries
- Ownership, stewardship and controllership of ST design practices
Requirements
- Min B.Sc. Engineering or Physics in the field of Turbomachinery, Thermal Power Generation and Energy System Engineering, or equivalent qualification(s).
- Significant applicable professional experience
- Multiple years of demonstrated experience working on steam turbine engineering, including system integration with CC plant and working closely with component engineering teams
- Fluency in English Language
Desired Characteristics
- Higher academic degree may be an advantage
- Demonstrated experience as engineering/technology leader engineer or senior engineering manager
- Comprehensive understanding of steam turbine product and technologies including integration into the combined cycle overall plant
- Experience with performance tools, heat balances, performance prediction and measurements
- Experience with steam turbine operability and life cycle
- Experience in integrating, harmonizing and standardizing technologies with the aim to create new design standards and design practices
- Experience with steam turbine initiate to order and order to remittance processes
- Demonstrated experience in applying LEAN, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement
- Ability to communicate effectively to teams, peers, leadership and occasionally to external customers
- Ability to work vertically and horizontally with engineers, peers and leaders across the organization
- Other spoken languages may be an advantage (e.g. German, Spanish, Polish)
- Ability to travel and work with a global intercultural team

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $ 152,400.00 - 254,000.00 per year. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 15% bonus.
