We’re looking for a Controller to build out our accounting team and function. This role reports to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions like A/P, A/R, collections, and general ledger activities; building systems to improve processes
  • Ensuring the production of timely financial reporting, including managing monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and closing; building systems to improve processes
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations
  • Implementing best-in-class accounting systems such as NetSuite
  • Owning external audit processes, coordinating with auditors and regulators as needed
  • Managing, developing, motivating and retaining a high-performance accounting team

Ideal candidate has:

  • Total 8-10+ years of accounting experience, with:
    • 3-5+ year of public accounting experience
    • 3-5+ years of in-house accounting experience at a late-stage startup or fast-growing environment
  • Proven experience in managing day-to-day accounting operations and systems
  • Solid leadership skills, with a strong track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top talent
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • Familiarity with SOX readiness and compliance requirements
  • A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system

The target salary range for this position is: $160K - 180K. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
