What is the opportunity?
FutureLearn Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Partnerships Business Development Manager to join our growing team. As the Partnerships Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing Key accounts within the UK&I Higher Education sector.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years experience working with sales to Higher Education and developing partnerships with Institutions.
As a Partnerships Business Development Manager you would:
- Develop and nurture relationships with key accounts within the Higher Education sector (80% of role)
- Identify, qualify, and contact potential partners to drive growth and partnership opportunities (20% of role)
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding and implementation of partnerships
- Review the market to identify trends and opportunities to benefit partner institutions
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, while ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes
- Provide ongoing support and account management to partners, ensuring satisfaction and success
- Monitor and analyse partnership performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and growth
- Manage financial transactions with partners
What you will bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field, preferred
- Demonstrable sales skills in the Education sector
- Proven track record of developing and managing partnerships within the Higher Education sector
- Strong understanding of the online learning landscape and trends, specifically within Higher Education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
- Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a team player
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel as required
