Tech Lead

Forseven, a revolutionary company looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, is seeking a Tech Lead to join our highly skilled and dynamic IT team. This role is a hybrid position and can be worked from either of our sites in Shalford (Near Guildford) or Leamington Spa 3 days per week.

In this role you will lead a team of Software Engineers to deliver a best-in-class cloud-native customer experience.

We would like you to:

• Design, develop, and deploy software using cloud-based tools and services on AWS
• Architect scalable and secure software solutions that leverage the elasticity and cost-efficiency of AWS
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate software with existing infrastructure and ensure smooth deployment on AWS
• Work with product managers and other stakeholders to define the technical roadmap, outlining the features and functionalities to be built.
• Communicate complex technical decisions to stakeholders who might not have a software engineering background.
• Create realistic estimates for project timelines and resource allocation based on the technical complexity.
• Be the voice of the engineering team in meetings with product managers, and other stakeholders.

We would like you to have:

• Extensive experience as a Software Engineer, with a notable amount of time spent in a Senior role
• Expertise in system design, data structures, algorithms, and clean, efficient coding practices
• In-depth knowledge of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and experience with containerisation technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, serverless and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
• Repeated experience guiding and empowering junior engineers in a patient and encouraging manner. Able to provide constructive feedback.
• Proficiency in Go, Python & React (Typescript)
