Job Description

The Opportunity:

Flywire is seeking an experienced and motivated Relationship Manager to join our growing team in Latin America. Do you enjoy building client relationships? If so, read on, this role may be for you!

The Relationship Manager reports directly to the Sr. Relationship Manager for LATAM. They are accountable for the full life cycle from onboarding to supporting clients on a day-to-day basis, pursuing profitably growth, maximizing the value of the client and developing a strategic relationship with decision making stakeholders at the client organization. In this role, you get to make a large impact on the sustainable growth of the revenues in the region. The success of this position will hinge on your dynamic expertise in sales, the development of strong partner relationships and positive liaison with the Flywire teams!

You will get to:

  • Work with our customers to build an understanding of their roadmap and future-proof the relationship by proactively accommodating their payment needs and ensure these are documented in strategic account plans.
  • Do ongoing analysis and review of business trends
  • Understand gaps and strategize on how to fix them
  • Stakeholder management including increasing the breadth and seniority of contacts whilst also connecting them with appropriate Flywire counterparts
  • Work alongside Client Success and Consultants/Internal Stakeholders to capture an in depth knowledge of client’s operations including student lifecycle and payer journey
  • Oversee deployment of Flywire assets working alongside Implementation and Client Success team
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and effectively, and continuously work on removing friction and increasing the efficiency of the operation
  • Collaborating closely with clients to seamlessly integrate our services into their daily operations, ensuring they have full confidence in leveraging our support teams for optimal performance.
  • Map Flywire’s wallet share of existing payment flow and unearth new opportunities for Flywire products and services, owning the end-to-end upsell, working with Technical Sales support as required
  • Managing proposal writing, contract negotiations and renewals, in conjunction with the sales team when required
  • Leading an internal account team, ensuring there is a clear understanding of what we are trying to achieve with a client and escalating support requests or issues as appropriate
  • Adopt a data driven approach, working alongside Client Analysts, to spot potential risks before they materialize and create an efficient environment
  • Meticulous organization and prioritization to ensure momentum on activities

Qualifications

Here's What We're Looking For:

  • Preferred knowledge and experience in the payment industry, higher education administration, student interaction, accounts receivables, invoicing and all processes related to the income cycle.
  • An understanding of the international and domestic education sector across Latin America with specific knowledge about this sector in the Mexican market
  • Experience in consultative sales; the ability to build rapport quickly, identify and diagnose business problems, demonstrate products remotely, or in person, and meet the specific customer needs with effective solutions
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) practices
  • Project management and excellent communication skills
  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships
  • Great Teamwork and leadership skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset
  • Must be comfortable speaking in English and Spanish
  • Business degree or other equivalent formal qualification
  • 20-30% travel required
