About the Role
The Principal CSA Engineer ensures every Fluidstack facility has the bones to house extreme-density compute safely and sustainably. You will translate performance goals into site plans, structural frames and fit-outs that accelerate build schedules and cut embodied carbon.
Focus
Manage all aspects of the CSA system for datacenters.
Create strategy for datacenter CSA design and deployment.
Develop CSA design standards for datacenters.
Develop and maintain the basis of design, master specification and master drawings.
Facilitate developing project specific drawings and documentation based on the master design with local adaptation working with external design consultants.
Lead site due-diligence, geotechnical assessment and permitting strategy.
Create architectural layouts optimised for hot-aisle/cold-aisle, liquid-cooling manifolds and service corridors.
Analyse structural loads for high-mass DLC racks / air cooled racks, immersion tanks and seismic compliance.
Specify fire-rating, floor finishes, acoustics and envelope insulation standards.
Coordinate with Construction to prefab modular MEP skids and minimise on-site disruption.
Interface with Mechanical, Electrical and Construction teams through 30/60/90% design reviews.
Willing and able to travel domestic and international to support projects. 20% travel is expected for this role.
About You
B.S / B.A degree in Architectural / Civil / Structural engineering discipline.
10 + years CSA design for hyperscale data centers, or clean-manufacturing.
Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, STAAD or RAM; seismic and wind-load expertise.
Familiar with LEED/BREEAM and lifecycle-carbon accounting.
Registered Architect or PE‐Structural a plus.
