Summary of job contents:
The top priority of the MTE Intern is to collaborate with MTEs to represent technical superiority in the North American marketplace. The fundamental pillars for the MTE Intern are Customer, Technology and Leadership. This role offers a hands-on learning experience in the field of mechatronics, providing an opportunity to work on real world projects under the guidance of experienced professionals across North America. The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical, Robotics, or Mechatronics engineering program, with a preference for those specializing in mechatronics.
Key accountabilities:
• Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechatronic systems and components.
• Support programming tasks using platforms such as CODESYS, Rockwell (Studio 5000), and Siemens (TIA Portal) and Python.
• Participate in mechanical design processes, including CAD modeling and prototyping.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical and mechanical systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Mechatronics Technology Engineering Manager.
• Generate technical content for marketing activities such as application or video tutorials.
• Interact with external controls groups in public platforms with the objective of understanding market trends.

• Conduct research and stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in Mechatronics Engineering.
Knowledge/skills/experience:
• English Language, Spanish a plus.
• Microsoft Office suite experience.
• Basic programming concepts.
• Understanding of motion control concepts, PLCs and distributed I/O.
• Familiarity with pneumatics and pneumatic control logic.
• Troubleshooting skills.
• CAD knowledge.
• Enrolled in in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Robotics program.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
