Regional Account Manager - Northeast

Summary
Working closely with our Government and Commercial customers and all Fairbanks Morse Defense Business Units this role will identify and shape business growth opportunities. The primary focus of the role is to lead and coordinate the customer experience and our engagement approach to maximize customer satisfaction. The scope of the role covers all sales opportunities across all Fairbanks Morse Defense Business Units including original equipment, aftermarket, and system offerings.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
• Developing deep and broad customer relationships for all major new build and ship repair facilities with a comprehensive understanding of our customers priorities.
• Providing customer insights, actionable intelligence and business recommendations on new sales opportunities across all possible revenue streams: aftermarket, original equipment and systems.
• Increasing revenue and profits, improving market share and market intelligence across all possible revenue streams: aftermarket, original equipment and system solutions.
• Collaborating with Strategic Directors and Sales leadership to establish Business Segment strategies and execute sales plans to meet business goals.
• Providing up to date sales forecasting aligned with annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals and status is periodically to the organization and senior leadership
• Collaborating across regional sales positions to elevate the customer experience and ensure consistency of approach and branding of Fairbanks Morse’s products and services
• Becoming embedded in the regional community and actively participate in regional industry forums, organizations and professional societies.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent customer account management experience
• This position requires interaction with both internal and external customers, so the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of management, peers, and clients is an absolute and essential requirement.
• 5+ years of experience developing strong customer relationship and selling complex mission critical equipment and services in a competitive environment.
• High energy and positive attitude.
• Ability to take initiative, identify new opportunities and position company for success.
• Tenacity and creative ability to research accounts, identify key players, generate interest, and qualify leads into sales opportunities.
• Experience leveraging customer relationship management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce for improved business communication and planning.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%.
• Experience developing and securing long-term agreements with customers that deliver mutual business benefits.
• Demonstrated analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Excel).
• Excellent problem-solving, task prioritization, follow-up, and customer service skills required.
• This position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of US Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship. Acceptable proof of US Citizenship is a US Passport, US Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.
