These systems are vital to operational continuity and modernization efforts. Your Role & Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, defect fixes, and enhancements on PowerBuilder desktop applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in coordination with project team members
• Write and test PL/SQL stored procedures
• Participate in unit testing, QA testing, and UAT support
• Engage in sprint planning, code reviews, and estimation sessions
• Utilize Git for version control and release management
• Communicate task status, risks, and blockers proactively
• Join stand-ups, project planning meetings, and technical discussions
• Contribute to future application modernization and Java-based projects
• Deliver documentation and support knowledge sharing among the team
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to ensure system reliability

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

• Minimum 5 years of experience in PowerBuilder application development
• Strong command of PL/SQL and relational database interaction
• Familiarity with PowerBuilder Foundation Class (PFC) libraries
• Background in client-server application development (PowerBuilder, VB, or Delphi)
• Comfortable using Git for source code management
• Proficient in SQL for CRUD operations and view creation
• Experience working with Oracle databases
• Able to learn and support legacy applications effectively
• Exposure to JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue)

Bonus Points If You Have

• Involvement in modernization or replatforming initiatives
• Experience with government or public service-oriented systems
• Background supporting diverse application portfolios

Education & Certifications You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
