Job Summary

The Senior Technical Architect is a skilled leader responsible for the technical design of our XMP Platform. To shape our technical vision, ensuring it meets business needs and aligns with our product roadmap. This role requires hands-on expertise and collaboration to deliver immediate business requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the technical implementation of projects, overseeing planning, architecture, design, development, and testing.
• Conduct programming/code reviews as needed, maintaining a hands-on approach to coding.
• Collaborate with Executive, Engineering, and Product leadership to shape the product roadmap while taking ownership of all technical aspects.
• Drive full-stack web-based application development for the XMP platform.
• Define and execute project and technical roadmaps in alignment with organizational strategy.
• Create high-level solution architecture and conduct feature and capability assessments for projects.
• Research and evaluate various web application development platforms, pioneering the adoption of new technologies.
• Ensure the operational success of the Engineering Department.
• Work closely with team leads to deliver high-quality, high-throughput software solutions.
• Actively participate in software design, development, testing, and delivery..
• Provide architecture and technical direction for both frontend and backend systems.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience as a software engineer proficient in Ruby, Python, Java, Node.js, SQL, and NoSQL data stores.
• 5+ years of experience as an architect, specializing in building and scaling large-scale, low-latency Cloud/SaaS platforms with AWS and GCP, with an emphasis on the importance of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 5+ years of experience in architecting web applications, successfully delivering frontend and backend solutions to users.
• Proficiency in ElasticSearch, Redis, Kafka, and Data Pipeline technologies.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts, particularly with BigQuery or Redshift.
• Possesses a collaborative, flexible, and positive mindset, promoting teamwork and adaptability.
• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities to effectively address complex technical challenges.
• Master-level knowledge of software design patterns, REST principles, and the software development life cycle.
• Experience in developing automated internal frameworks or developer tools to enhance developer release velocity and code quality.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, facilitating effective collaboration and documentation.
