Eukarya develops and provides "Re:Earth," a next-generation, highly scalable, and intuitive WebGIS (Geographic Information System) platform. Re:Earth is recognized as the first WebGIS to feature a browser-operated plugin system and is also available as open-source software. The platform allows users to create and publish 3D web map applications without needing to code, visualize various location information and 3D models on a 3D globe, and extend its UI through a plugin system. Eukarya aims to build an ecosystem centered around Re:Earth and is actively seeking engineers as the demand and scale of projects for Re:Earth products are rapidly expanding. Since 2023, Re:Earth has been adopted as the base system for the PLATEAU VIEW project led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT) in Japan. Eukarya is also developing Re:Earth CMS, an open-source headless CMS designed for flexible schema definition, management of various files and data, and distribution via API, which is also being implemented in the MLIT's PLATEAU project. Furthermore, Eukarya is engaged in the research and development of a new open-source WebGIS engine using Rust, focusing on multi-platform compatibility, high performance, and high rendering quality.
