Essential Energy is dedicated to serving its customers by building, operating, and maintaining one of Australia's largest and most geographically dispersed electricity distribution networks. Our customers, located across 95 percent of regional, rural, and remote New South Wales and parts of southern Queensland, rely on us for the safe and reliable power that fuels their daily lives. We understand the critical role we play in powering communities, from individual homes and small businesses to essential services like over 170 hospitals and 1,250 schools. Our customers' needs are at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to ensuring they have the power they need, when they need it. We are constantly working to maintain and improve our vast network, which includes over 1.3 million power poles and hundreds of substations, to meet and anticipate the evolving energy demands of the more than 900,000 customers we serve.

The energy landscape is changing, and our customers are at the forefront of this transition. Many are seeking to generate, store, and share their own electricity. We see our role as an enabler of these choices, actively supporting the shift towards a more sustainable energy future. Through innovation and the adoption of new technologies, we are working to create a network that is not only reliable but also flexible and intelligent. We are investing in solutions that will allow for greater integration of renewable energy sources, empowering our customers and communities to participate in the energy market in new ways. Our commitment extends beyond just poles and wires; it's about building a better energy future for the regional communities we are proud to live and work in. We are dedicated to being a partner our customers can rely on, both now and for generations to come.
