For the more than 3.4 million people in the United States and 65 million worldwide living with epilepsy, the daily challenges and uncertainties can be overwhelming. Many face not just the physical impact of seizures, but also a profound lack of understanding from the public, which can lead to discrimination, isolation, and fear. Customers of the Epilepsy Foundation, who are individuals with epilepsy and their families, often struggle to find reliable information, access to specialized care, and a supportive community that truly understands their journey. They need a trusted ally to help them navigate the complexities of managing their condition, from understanding a new diagnosis to finding effective treatments and coping with the social and emotional toll.

The Epilepsy Foundation stands as that unwavering ally, dedicated to ensuring that people with seizures can participate in all of life's experiences. We address our community's challenges head-on by providing a comprehensive ecosystem of support. Our customers benefit from a 24/7 Helpline, offering immediate access to trained information specialists who can answer urgent questions and provide crucial resources. We empower our community with extensive educational materials on epilepsy.com, seizure first-aid training, and advocacy programs that fight for their rights and access to care. We understand that the journey with epilepsy is not just about managing seizures; it's about living a full and productive life. That's why we also focus on funding innovative research to accelerate the development of new therapies, with the ultimate goal of stopping seizures, finding cures, and saving lives. Through our nationwide network, we connect individuals and families to local support groups and events, fostering a sense of community so that no one has to face epilepsy alone.
