Child Mind Institute

The Child Mind Institute is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. This nonprofit organization recognizes the severity of issues that affect millions of children across the United States, as many as 1 in 5, and aims to tackle these challenges directly through a comprehensive approach.

Operating with the belief that every child deserves access to quality mental health care, the Child Mind Institute engages in three main areas: clinical care, education, and scientific research. Their clinical services provide evidence-based treatment to thousands of kids each year through their centers located in New York City and San Francisco Bay Area, as well as through telehealth services for those unable to visit in person. Moreover, they actively work to reduce stigma around mental health, offering free educational resources to families and training programs for educators, thereby empowering communities to better support children's mental health needs. Their ongoing research focuses on understanding the brain's development and the factors contributing to mental health disorders, with the goal of pioneering effective treatments for children in need.
