Enghouse is looking for an experienced lawyer/contracts manager to join the team based in Europe. The Enghouse Legal team provides legal and compliance guidance and support to internal customers across the global Enghouse business and partners with Enghouse business stakeholders to negotiate commercial agreements.

You will be part of a small, global team of highly experienced and commercially minded legal professionals who touch on all aspects of the business, allowing the right candidate to have exposure to wide-ranging legal (IP, immigration, contracts, employment, data privacy, collections) and compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

Contracts:

  • Assist with a wide range of customer and vendor agreements, including NDAs, Reseller and Customer agreements, licensing terms, SaaS agreements etc. At least 3 years of experience with drafting, editing, negotiating SaaS agreements is required
  • Involvement in the contract life cycle, including dealing with initial contact, preparation and sending of template documents, negotiation and finalization of final terms, quality control, and preparing executable copies etc.
  • Assist with template review activities to ensure standard documents are up to date with current legislation in relevant jurisdictions
  • Liaising with other internal departments (Sales Operations, Products, Data Security) on contract-related matters and any other ad hoc tasks in relation to the contract process

Compliance:

  • Assist with training and executing compliance-related policies including any sector regulatory, ethics, anti-bribery or other corporate policy required by law
  • Assist with activities related to corporate compliance obligations, audits, assessments and accreditations, including the company’s ISO accreditations
  • Data privacy/protection review and advice
  • Act as a point of contact for external consultants and auditing bodies

General Legal Support:

  • Strong understanding of technology law commercial principles in the software and services industry.
  • Maintenance of domestic law corporate compliance, in assigned jurisdictions.
  • Litigation support and management, in assigned jurisdictions
  • Provide ad hoc support as and when required to regional management, including HR, Finance, Products, Demand Generation, and Supply Chain.
  • Assisting with various administrative, due diligence and integration tasks related to the company’s acquisitions strategy.
  • Experience with intellectual property rights contract protection, enforcement and defense issue

Requirements:

  • Must be qualified to practice in the UK or a European jurisdiction, with a minimum of 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Practice experience with technology businesses in the UK, France, Italy, Scandinavian or DACH regions would be an asset
  • Bilingual with proficiency in both English and French is must. Fluency in other European languages (Italian, German, Dutch, Spanish) would be an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts in the technology sector
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country without requiring sponsorship
  • Candidates with experience in cross-cultural, cross-border, and multi-jurisdictional environments will be preferred
